Two more Liverpool players made it into the top five – center defender Virgin van Deik and left-back Sadio Manet. Manchester City conductor Kevin de Breine and Manchester United striker Marcus Resford were also praised.Liverpool were crowned champions after a 30-year hiatus, and Henderson lifted his trophy above his head on Wednesday when he defeated London’s Chelsea. The midfielder did not take part in the match due to a knee injury. At first, there were fears that he would have to skip a longer period of time, but head coach Jürgen Clops said Henderson would be ready for the start of next season.“I’m grateful for the award, but I don’t think I can accept it alone. I owe it to so many people, most of all, to my teammates, who have been incredible and deserve this award as much as I did,” Henderson said. In the initial phase of the club, he played as a support midfielder, but after a conversation with the coach he was retrained as a more offensive type player. Henderson scored four goals in 30 matches this season.
